About Us
Action-Impact is a dynamic youth movement where students come together to worship Jesus Christ and study the Bible. Students are challenged to put "Jesus First" and to share their faith as a way of life.
Action meets every week on Friday nights during the school year and Thursday nights during the summer.
Throughout the year, students are invited to participate in a variety of outreach, training, and faith-building conferences. These events, weekend trips, and outreach activities help train and encourage students to not only grow spiritually, but to also share their faith. Over the years, these conferences have taken place across the world including the 1000 Islands, NY; Orlando, FL; Myrtle Beach, NC; Spain; Asia; Israel; and more.
Currently, Action-Impact has three groups: Senior High (9th-12th grade), Junior High (6th-8th grade), and Junior Action (3rd-5th grade).
Action began in 1968 by Ron and Marcia Pershall. They were leaders for their senior high youth group at their local church and when several students requested a more intensive Bible study, they began to invite them into their home to spend more time learning. The first week, five students met to discover what God wanted to say to them through the study of His Word. During the next six years, as a result of the students learning how to share their faith, the group grew to more than one hundred students.
In 1974, Ron and Marcia moved to Elverson, Pennsylvania and twenty four students were able to continue meeting with them. With each passing year, it became more and more evident to Ron and Marcia that Action was becoming a lifelong ministry of reaching and discipling students for Christ.
On February 25th, 1976, Action-Impact was incorporated; and a board of directors was formed. Having a non-profit status, Action-Impact, Inc. may receive tax deductible donations from churches, individuals, and companies. These donations help purchase study materials and maintain the Action-Impact building, equipment, and buses. Designated donations are also used to help students attend leadership conferences, missions trips, and insure that everyone, regardless of home or church background, has a chance to grow in Christ.
On September 5th, 1997, after more than twenty years of prayer, the first phase of the Action Complex was completed and dedicated. This first phase looks like a ski lodge from the outside and provides a great atmosphere for students on the inside. The upper floor contains a large open multi-purpose room with a huge stone fireplace and glass windows. The lower level has a game room, meeting rooms, and restrooms. This first phase allows Action to have the opportunity to let God reach into the lives of hundreds of students and share the good news of the gospel weekly. Phase one was completely paid off in 2001.
In 2018, with the vision of reaching the younger generations of students (3rd-5th grade), a second building was started. The second floor is designed to be a meeting and play area. The lower level is a shower house, locker room, and restrooms.
Reaching out and training all ages in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and how to share their faith is important to Action-Impact and this second building is a testimony to that vision.
A second phase for the Action Complex is planned, and when God provides the funding, a full gym, stage, and workout room will be added. The gym will be connected to the existing Action Center.
Action staff members receive no salary from the organization. Instead, they work full-time jobs and then volunteer their time to disciple students.
Action-Impact has a desire to follow the call given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20:
"18 Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"
Marked by a beautiful stone entrance on Vickery Lane, just off Hopewell Road, the Action Complex is situated on seventeen acres that God has provided in Elverson, Robeson Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
As you pass through the entrance, down a long paved driveway with pine trees and a three rail post fence on either side, you cross over a stone bridge and stream. The lane is lined with old street lights and passes a pond on the left and woods to the right, winding up to the building which is situated above the pond.
The building is designed for both recreation and accommodating over 160 students in all ages groups.
We encourage students to come check it out on a Friday night during the school year or Thursday nights in the summer.

Statement Of faith
The Bible: We believe that the Bible is God's inerrant Word, written by men divinely inspired, and that in all matters of faith and conduct it is the supreme authority.
God the Father: We believe in the perfect holiness and justice, infinite wisdom, and measureless power of God the Father. We believe that in His sovereignty He mercifully concerns Himself in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus.
God the Son: We believe in Jesus Christ as God's only begotten Son, virgin born and sinless in His life. We believe that by His death He made atonement for the sins of the whole world. We believe that He rose from the dead; that He ascended to heaven; that He is now interceding for His people; and that He will personally return to receive His own.
God the Holy Spirit: We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who came "to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement;" and to regenerate, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.
The Human Nature: We believe that man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from the Creator. That historic fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation.
(Genesis 1: 26-27; 2: 15-17; 3: 1-24; Romans 5: 12-21; 1 Corinthians 15: 21-22)
Salvation: We believe that the salvation of man is wholly a work of God's free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works of goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies them in His sight.
(Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 3: 21-26; 9: 30-33; Galatians 3: 11-14; 22-24)
The Christian Walk: We believe that every believer is called to live a holy life in the control and power of the Holy Spirit so that he will not yield to the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil.
(Galatians 5: 16-25; Ephesians 5:18; Romans 12: 1-2)
"And the things which you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."
2 Timothy 2:2
